The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will feature a purple athletics track, made with recycled shells produced by the fishing industry, as part of the event's commitment to sustainability. The track was designed by Mondo, a company that teamed up with a fisher's cooperative to gather shells from the Mediterranean Sea.
