Google is thinking through how to make its Pixel smartwatches more repairable, according to Nicole Azores, a manager of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google. Currently, if a Pixel Watch breaks, Google only offers replacement units, unlike Apple and Samsung, which allow repairs. The company's lack of repairability highlights its inexperience in the smartwatch space. The discussion took place at a Climate Week NYC panel hosted by Back Market and moderated by One5c.

A US federal judge in the Southern District of New York sentenced Caroline Ellison, a former FTX executive, to two years in prison and ordered her to forfeit $11 billion. Ellison pleaded guilty to seven counts of fraud and conspiracy in December 2022. FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried was previously sentenced to 25 years in prison for similar crimes. The crypto exchange filed for bankruptcy in November 2022 after running out of funds to process customer withdrawals.

Microsoft has partnered with the Three Mile Island nuclear power station in Pennsylvania to restart reactor one in 2028, exclusively supplying the tech firm with low-carbon electricity. Amazon Web Services has also agreed to buy a data center powered by the Susquehanna nuclear power station in Pennsylvania. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai mentioned small modular nuclear reactors as a potential source of energy for data centers. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman chairs the boards of nuclear startups Oklo and Helion Energy.

Can-Am, a motorcycle brand known for its endurance and motocross bikes, is reintroducing itself to the market with two new electric motorcycles, the Origin and Pulse, priced at $14,999 and up. The brand's history of in-house design and production has allowed it to produce solid competitors in the electric motorcycle market. The bikes were unveiled in Austin, Texas, where the company flew journalists to test ride the vehicles.
