Imec and ASML have successfully demonstrated the first logic and DRAM patterns using ASML's experimental Twinscan EXE-5000 EUV lithography tool, achieving resolution good enough for 1.4nm-class process technology with one exposure. The system's capabilities confirm the development of the High-NA ecosystem for commercial chip production later this decade. Luc Van den hove, imec's president and CEO, stated that High NA EUV will be instrumental in continuing dimensional scaling of logic and memory.
