Tenstorrent has launched its Wormhole AI processor, a next-generation processor for AI workloads that offers decent performance at a low price. The company offers two add-on PCIe cards carrying one or two Wormhole processors, as well as TT-LoudBox and TT-QuietBox workstations for software developers. CEO Jim Keller stated that the release is aimed at developers, helping them scale up and work on multi-chip AI software.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) reported its best quarter ever, with revenue reaching $20.82 billion in Q2 2024, a 32.8% year-over-year increase and a 10.3% increase from the previous quarter. The company's high-performance computing (HPC) platform revenue share exceeded 52% for the first time in many years, driven by demand for AI processors and the rebound of the PC market. TSMC earned $7.59 billion in net income for the quarter, with a gross margin of 53.2%

Samsung has validated its LPDDR5X-10700 memory with MediaTek's upcoming Dimensity 9400 system-on-chip, achieving a memory bandwidth of 85.6 GB/second. The validation process involved a 16 GB LPDDR5X package and MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 SoC for high-end 5G smartphones.
