Micron plans to start operating its two new fabs in Idaho and New York from 2026 to 2029. LG has started mass production of its new Tandem OLED technology, which uses two stacks of RGB organic light-emitting layers to prolong the lifespan of OLED materials. This technology doubles the number of pixels, reducing the workload on each pixel and increasing the display's brightness and lifespan. The innovation is a result of researchers' efforts to develop ways to prolong the lifespans of OLED materials, which have been a major drawback of the technology.
