DuckDuckGo has launched private AI chats, allowing users to anonymously access AI models like GPT-3.5 Turbo and Claude 3 Haiku. The company replaces users' IP addresses with its own, making it look like the requests are coming from DuckDuckGo. The AI providers may store chats temporarily, but cannot trace them back to users.

Humane is reportedly in talks with HP to sell its AI Pin business for over $1 billion, following poor reviews of its $699 wearable AI computer pin. Google has updated its note-taking AI NotebookLM, allowing users to upload Google Slides and web URLs as sources, in addition to Google Docs, PDFs, and text files. Users can now upload up to 50 sources per project, with each source limited to 500,000 words. The new Notebook Guide also reads sources and creates study guides, FAQs, or briefing documents, and inline citations can point to user-sourced sources for fact-checking.

Climeworks, a startup, unveiled its Generation 3 plant, which uses half as much energy as older designs and slashes costs in half.
