NVIDIA has launched a range of new CUDA libraries to expand parallel computing power, delivering order-of-magnitude speedups and reducing energy consumption and costs in various applications such as data processing, generative AI, recommender systems, and more. The new libraries include NeMo Curator for custom dataset creation, cuVS for vector search, Polars GPU Engine in open beta, Warp for physics simulation, Aerial for wireless network simulation, and Sionna for link-level wireless simulation.

NVIDIA has released a miniaturized language model called Mistral-NeMo-Minitron 8B, which provides high accuracy and compute efficiency. The model is a compact version of the Mistral NeMo 12B model, released by Mistral AI and NVIDIA last month. It can run on an NVIDIA RTX-powered workstation and excels in multiple benchmarks for AI-powered chatbots, virtual assistants, content generators, and educational tools.

High school student Selin Alara Ornek from Istanbul, Turkey, has developed a robot guide dog for the visually impaired using machine learning and the NVIDIA Jetson platform. She is a self-taught robotics developer and has created seven robots to date, including a school aid robot that can help prevent bullying. Ornek is a member of AI4ALL, a nonprofit program aiming to make AI more diverse and inclusive.
