Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal has resigned from PhonePe's board of directors. He played a significant role in Flipkart's acquisition of PhonePe in 2016 and has been on the fintech's board since then. PhonePe, now a separate entity since 2022 and valued at $12 billion, appointed Manish Sabharwal as an independent director and audit committee chair. Bansal still holds about 1% of PhonePe's shares.
