AMD's 3DNow! instructions, introduced in 1998, have been removed from support by the LLVM compiler. The instruction set was replaced by SSE equivalents in 2011 and was no longer included in AMD CPUs starting with the K10 Bulldozer CPUs. It took some time for compilers to drop support, but it is now extinct. The 3DNow! instruction set was a competitor to Intel's MMX and added SIMD instructions to AMD's x86 instruction set.
